Then everyone went back to their desks and did nothing.

The Fear Nobody's Naming
Everyone talks about FOMO-the fear of missing out. Companies rush to adopt AI because competitors are adopting AI. The hype cycle spins. The pressure builds.
But that's not what's actually stopping people.
It's FOMU. The fear of messing up.
What if you build your entire workflow on Claude and Anthropic pivots? What if you bet on Codex and OpenAI sunsets it? What if you pick the wrong foundation and have to start over?
The paralysis isn't about missing the boat. It's about boarding the wrong one.
The Real Cost of Waiting
Here's what sales research consistently shows: the majority of B2B deals don't die to competitors. They die to "no decision."
Not "we picked someone else." Just... nothing. The deal stalls. The committee dissolves. The initiative gets tabled for "next quarter."

That's the pattern that turns FOMU into forward motion. Not by eliminating risk-by making risk manageable.
The fear is real. The hesitation makes sense. You're not being slow-you're being smart.
But smart doesn't mean stuck.
