Inspector

The Inspector is the panel on the right of the workspace. It shows the settings of the node you selected on the canvas.

With nothing selected, it says Select a node to inspect it. Click a node and its settings appear.

The header

Selecting a node gives the Inspector one header, and it names the node. Before the name are the node's icon and its on and off switch; after it is its delete button. A line under the header says how the node is doing, for example when it Needs attention.

At the right of the header is Close Inspector, which closes the Inspector; clicking a node brings it back, floating at the right and clear of the node, until you dock it. Collapse in the Inspector's menu folds its side down to a thin strip instead; if you select a node while it is collapsed, the side opens again by itself. See Panels and Windows.

Inspector fields

Select a node and its Inspector lists its settings as fields. Every field shows its name at the left of its own line. A field you can copy (a connection's host name, its keys and tokens, a base URL) shows a small copy button at the right end of that same line, with its box running the full width of the Inspector underneath.

Press the copy button and that field's value goes to your clipboard; the button shows a check for two seconds. Paste it anywhere you like.

A field with no copy button shows its name above its box in the same way. Read-only status lines (a name and its value) are not fields and stay side by side. A copy box with no name (for example in a table of DNS records) keeps its button beside the box.

A connection's keys and tokens are on its Connection Info tab. Treat a copied key like a password.
