Team Members
Goal: See who is in the workspace, and add or remove people.
Open Workspace -> Team Members, or Manage Team Members in Workspace Settings. The step-by-step is in Inviting Members.
What the window shows
| Part | What it is |
|---|---|
| Current members | Each member's name, Owner beside each owner, when they joined, Make owner and Remove |
| Invite a new member | Email, Role and Invite |
The window has no pending list and no control to change an existing member's role.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| The new member's email. They sign in with that address | |
| Role | Viewer by default, or Editor. The choice is not saved with the member today |
| Invite | Adds the member at once. A message confirms it |
| Make owner | Shown only to an owner, beside each member who is not an owner. Asks "Make (name) an owner of this workspace? Owners manage the team and access, deploy and manage licenses.", then makes them an owner at once |
| Remove | Not shown beside an owner. Asks "Remove (name) from this workspace?", then removes them at once |
Save and Deploy
Inviting, removing and making an owner take effect at once; they are not part of a Save and nothing waits for Deploy. What a member can do in your own apps comes from App Identity access cards, not from this window.
Rights
Only an owner invites and removes members, and only an owner makes another member an owner. An invite never makes someone an owner, and an owner cannot be removed. Make owner only adds an owner; this window has no way to take ownership away. What owners hold is in Permissions.
Azi and agents
No AI tool invites or removes members or makes an owner: not Azi, and not an agent over MCP.
Messages you may see
| When | Message |
|---|---|
| An email that is not valid | "(email)" is not a valid email |
| Already a member | (email) is already on this workspace |
| The invite was refused | Failed to invite (email) - for example because only an owner can add members |
| The removal was refused | Failed to remove (name) - for example because only an owner can remove members |
| Made an owner | (name) is now an owner |
| Make owner was refused | The reason, for example "That user is not a member of this workspace, so they cannot be made an owner." or "The team changed while this ran, so nothing was changed. Reload the team list and try again." |
