A Panel Disappeared

You are looking for the canvas (Workflow), Thinky, the Inspector, Proposals or the Live Stream and it is not where you expect it. Nothing is deleted: a panel is collapsed, closed, moved, or behind a maximised panel, and each has a way back.

If it was collapsed

A collapsed side is a thin strip along the edge of the workspace, with a small Expand button for each panel on it, for example Expand Live Stream. Press it: the side opens at the size it had, the panel as it was. The Inspector's side also opens by itself when you select a node.

If the panel was closed

A panel's Close button (for example Close Inspector), a middle-click on its title bar, or Close in its menu closes it. Each comes back:

  • Thinky, Workflow (the canvas), Live Stream or Proposals: the View menu. It comes back floating at the right until you dock it.
  • Inspector: click a node on the canvas.
  • any closed panel: Add panel in another panel's menu.

If every panel is closed, the workspace says so, with a button to open each one. Applying a layout from Workspace > Layouts can close panels too; the notice that follows has Undo. See Getting a panel back.

If it moved

A panel may be a tab in another panel's title bar: its name shows there; click it. Or it may be floating over the workspace. Reset location in its menu puts it back on the side it started on.

If one panel fills the screen

Another panel is maximised. Double-click its title bar, choose Restore in its menu, or press Shift+Space, to put every panel back.

If none of these

Reload the page. If the panel is still not there, tell Thinky or your workspace owner what you were doing when it went.
