A Tab or Endpoint Is Missing

You expected a tab, an endpoint or a saved query's address in the API Manager, or an AI could not find a route you know your workspace has, and it is not there.

What happened

It is most likely not set up yet. Some endpoints need a step done first, such as IoT deployed for telemetry, or a Provenance trail for the provenance endpoints. Until then OpenX does not list them. Nothing is broken and nothing was deleted.

If you do not hold the access right an endpoint needs, it is also left out. That is a different cause: ask a workspace owner, or someone with Workspace.Access.Manage, for a card with the right.

Find out which step

  1. Open APIs -> API Manager. Above the tabs, a Not set up yet notice has one line for each thing that is waiting, such as "Cold Data: Deploy IoT in the Data & IoT Fabric window."
  2. Press the Open <window name> button on the line. The API Manager closes and the window that sets it up opens.
  3. Do the step. The line goes once it is done, and the tab or endpoint is listed. If the API Manager was left open, reopen it.

No notice, and still missing? Then the cause is not a set-up step. Check your rights as above, and that you are in the workspace you mean.

If an AI or your app is the one that cannot find it

  • An AI over MCP: ask it to read get_workspace. Its NotSetUp part lists what is waiting, each with what to do. Calling a waiting route with call_api answers CALL_API_ROUTE_NOT_SET_UP with the same words.
  • Your own app calling /ox-api: a route that is waiting answers 409, with a Code and a Remedy that names the window. Do the step and call again.
