My Workspace Did Not Open

You opened your workspace, and instead of the canvas OpenX showed a message saying it could not open the workspace.

What you see

Where the canvas would be, a message reads OpenX could not open this workspace, then: "The workspace did not load. Reload the page to try again." Under it is a Reload button.

OpenX shows this as soon as it knows the workspace did not load. The page does not sit on "Loading workspace..." with nothing else said.

If the page's own script never runs (it was blocked, or JavaScript is turned off in your browser), OpenX cannot tell straight away. The same message then shows after 20 seconds of "Loading workspace...", and Reload is a link rather than a button. It does the same thing.

What to do

  1. Press Reload. The page loads again and, if OpenX can read the workspace now, it opens on the canvas.
  2. If the message comes back, the workspace could still not be read. This is usually brief: wait a minute or two, then press Reload again.
  3. If it keeps coming back, tell the workspace owner or Fathym, and say which workspace you were opening and when.

Nothing in the workspace is changed or lost while it cannot open.

Your active workspace stays the same

A workspace that could not load stays your active workspace. OpenX never opens another of your workspaces in its place without telling you, so the next Reload tries the same workspace again.

Only when you no longer have the workspace (you were removed from it, or it was deleted) does OpenX open another of your workspaces instead, as it always has.

Once your workspace opens, you can move to a different one on purpose: open Workspace -> View All... and press Set Active on it (see Manage Workspaces).
