A Panel Says Nothing Is There Yet
A panel with nothing to show tells you why, in one sentence in a box. The words tell you which of three things is happening.
Nothing has arrived yet
The panel shows its own sentence: what will appear there and how to get it. This is a new or quiet workspace, not a fault.
| Panel | What it says, and what to do |
|---|---|
| Live Stream | No impulses have arrived yet. Connect a data source; Read more opens Connecting data. |
| Proposals | No changes are waiting for you. When Thinky or a teammate suggests a change, it shows here for you to accept or reject. |
| Thinky | Ask Thinky about this workspace, or ask it to suggest a change; what it suggests waits in Proposals for you to accept. |
| Inspector | Select a node to inspect it. Click a node on the canvas. |
| Workflow canvas | Nothing is on the canvas yet. Add your first node from the Node Bank, which is always in view beside the canvas. |
A filter hides everything
The Live Stream says "No impulses match the current filters." Messages did arrive, but the connection you picked or the text you typed in the filter box hides all of them. Choose All Connections and clear the filter text to see them again. There is no Read more link here: nothing is missing.
It is still connecting, or the connection is down
The Live Stream says it is connecting while it opens its connection. If the connection drops, it says the stream is not connected and that it is trying again: it reconnects by itself. Until then it never says it is waiting for a message, because it cannot hear one.
If it stays disconnected, check your network, then see Can't connect. If it is connected but nothing arrives, see No data showing.
