FAQ

What is a warm query? A saved query that automatically becomes a REST API endpoint and an MCP tool. "Warm" because it's saved and ready, runs on demand, and returns fresh results each call. See Warm Queries.

Where does my data live? In your own cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP, on-prem, or hybrid). OpenX runs in your tenant and queries your data - it doesn't copy or store it. That's "fire us, keep running": you're never locked in.

What can I connect? Simulators (built in), live devices, API Sources (polled third-party REST), and databases. See Connecting Data.

Who is Azi? Your MCP-native assistant. Azi proposes - queries, connections, fixes - and you decide; nothing happens without your approval. See Meet Azi.

Can I use other AI tools? Yes - that's "bring any AI." Connect Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, or any MCP-native client to the same server. See Bring Any AI.

How is team access controlled? At the workspace level: Viewer (read), Editor (create/modify), Admin (full). Invite by email and assign a role. See Team & Access Rights.

How are tokens and credentials kept safe? Encrypted at rest, stored in your tenant, never returned in responses or logs. See Security.

What's the difference between Save and Commit? Save keeps a draft only you see; Commit deploys it so your team sees it, recorded in history. See Workflow.

Why isn't my data showing? See No data showing.

Why is my query empty? See Query returns empty.

I can't connect a source. See Can't connect.
